Trust Wallet warns of fake crypto card website

A fraudulent site used Trust Wallet branding to advertise a crypto card with up to 8% cashback and asked visitors to connect their wallets.

Trust Wallet’s security team has confirmed that a website advertising a Trust Wallet-branded cryptocurrency card is fraudulent. Security researcher Daniel flagged the site on October 28 after it promoted three card tiers and unusually generous benefits.

The offer advertised a spending limit of up to $100,000, cashback of up to 8%, no identity verification, zero foreign-exchange fees, mobile-wallet support and airport lounge access. It also claimed that card issuance would cost just $1.

James Bro, speaking for Trust Wallet’s security team, said the website was not associated with the company. He directed users to Trust Wallet’s official app and website and warned against connecting wallets or approving suspicious requests to obtain a card.

No confirmed financial losses or details about the site’s operators were reported. The incident is a reminder that connecting a wallet can be followed by requests for malicious transaction approvals or token permissions, even without disclosure of a recovery phrase.
