This policy applies to cryptovss.com and to every portal of the cryptovss network that links here. Requests about your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent) go to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Visiting the pages
When you open a page our server processes technically necessary data (IP address, requested page, time, browser) to deliver the page and to fend off attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server logs are deleted after 14 days at most. Requests for source proofs ("[s]") are limited per address; the IP address is counted briefly for this and not stored.
Statistics and preferences
We use Umami (self-hosted, without cookies, no personal profiles) for anonymous statistics. Preferences like country and display currency stay in your browser. As long as you have not chosen any, your browser asks our server for a suggestion at most once a day; your IP address is matched against a country database on our server for this and is neither stored nor logged. The country database is IP Geolocation by DB-IP (DB-IP IP to Country Lite, licensed under CC BY 4.0). Links to providers go through a redirect (/go/) that counts the click without your IP address and tells the provider via UTM parameters that the visit came from us.
Reports
Reports via “Report an error” may contain contact data; it is used only for that report and deleted after it is closed.
Alerts (email notifications)
If you subscribe to alerts about cards, providers or a filtered list, we send you warnings and news about them, such as fee changes, new or ended promotions, licence and status changes. For this we store your email address, your first name, optionally your last name, language, display currency and time zone, your subscriptions and the emails sent, plus a hash of your IP address (not the address itself) as proof of the sign-up. We do not track opens or clicks in the emails. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). A subscription starts only once you confirm it via the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). Every email contains a link to unsubscribe and to manage your subscriptions; with it you can withdraw your consent at any time. We keep the data as long as the subscription exists. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days; after you unsubscribe, all data is deleted after 30 days (until then only the record of the unsubscription is kept).
Hosting and international transfers
The operator is based in the United States. The sites run on servers in the European Union; where data reaches the United States (for example when you contact us by email), this happens on the basis of Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR or with your consent.
