OKX launches virtual stablecoin-backed card in the US

OKX has introduced a virtual Mastercard charge card for eligible US customers, using stablecoins held in OKX Pay as collateral.

OKX has launched its OKX Card for eligible customers in the United States. According to product documentation published on October 28, the virtual-only card is a secured Mastercard charge card issued by WebBank.

Unlike a conventional crypto debit card, the US product does not require users to sell their stablecoins before making a purchase. USDC, USDT, or USDG held in an OKX Pay account act as collateral. The full statement balance must be repaid each billing cycle, either through autopay or manual repayment.

The card can be added to Apple Pay and Google Pay for online and contactless in-store purchases. OKX says it does not support ATM withdrawals, cash advances, or cash-equivalent transactions. Its documentation lists 0% interest and no annual, purchase, foreign-transaction, late-payment, or returned-payment fees.

Availability is not nationwide. Massachusetts, New York, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the US Virgin Islands are excluded. Applicants must complete OKX identity verification, maintain an active OKX Pay account, pass pre-screening checks, and have an exchange account in good standing.

The launch extends OKX’s card offering beyond its existing international products, but the US version has its own charge-card structure and eligibility rules.
