Crypto card spending likely to miss monthly growth in October

Paymentscan data put October stablecoin card spending at about $1.195 billion as of October 28, below September’s $1.231 billion, while active addresses continued to rise.

Spending with stablecoin payment cards is on course to end October without month-over-month growth. Data from Paymentscan, reported by ChainCatcher on October 28, put October volume at roughly $1.15–1.20 billion, compared with September’s phase high of $1.231 billion.

Paymentscan’s own snapshot showed October volume of $1.195 billion across 11,496,877 transactions. September recorded $1.231 billion across 11,857,570 transactions. The tracked monthly volume had previously risen each month during 2026, from $575.7 million in January.

ChainCatcher reported month-over-month declines for RedotPay, EtherFi and KAST. At the same time, Paymentscan counted 344,618 active addresses in October, up from 322,310 in September. Total tracked card volume since March 2023 reached $13.69 billion.

The figures require some context. Paymentscan’s spend-only view covered 30 of 32 tracked programs and combined onchain data with some offchain, self-reported figures, including RedotPay spending. October’s data was also still incomplete at the time of reporting, so the final monthly total may change.
