Bitget Wallet launched Virtual Account on October 27, giving users personal US-dollar and euro account numbers inside its self-custodial wallet. Stablecoin payments provider Noah supplies the account numbers.
The accounts accept incoming bank transfers through ACH, Fedwire, SEPA and SWIFT. Incoming money is automatically converted into USDT or USDC, so users receive stablecoins in their wallet rather than retaining a fiat bank balance. Bitget Wallet says opening an account is free and does not require local residency or an in-person bank visit.
A new funding route for the payments lineup
Virtual Account joins Bitget Wallet’s payments services, which include its card, QR payments and transfers. The resulting stablecoin balance can therefore be used across those services, creating a direct bank-transfer route into the wallet’s payment ecosystem without first going through a centralized exchange.
The feature is initially inbound-only. Outbound bank transfers are not yet available; Bitget Wallet says they are planned for the coming months, without giving a firm date.
Bitget Wallet estimates its own fee for a $500 ACH transfer at approximately $2, while sending banks and blockchain networks may charge separately. As a launch promotion, the company says it will refund transaction fees for the first 1,000 eligible users who make a qualifying initial deposit. The reports do not specify the qualifying-deposit threshold or refund amount, so users should check the final promotion terms before relying on the offer.
