# OKX details US card: a virtual Mastercard secured by stablecoins

_automatically created_

OKX has published details of its US card in a new help-center article dated October 28. The OKX Card is described as a virtual Mastercard charge card issued by WebBank and linked to an OKX Pay account.

Rather than requiring users to sell their stablecoins before spending, the card uses USDC, USDT or USDG held in OKX Pay as collateral. When a purchase is authorized, the required stablecoins are reserved. OKX classifies the product as a secured charge card, not a debit card or revolving credit card, and the full statement balance is due each billing cycle.

The card is virtual-only at launch and can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay for online and in-store purchases. It supports eligible purchases at merchants accepting Mastercard contactless payments, subject to available credit, purchase restrictions and security checks.

OKX states that the card charges 0% interest and has no APR. Its cardholder agreement lists no annual, purchase, foreign-transaction, late-payment or returned-payment fees. ATM withdrawals, cash advances and cash-equivalent transactions are not supported.

The help page cautions that availability can depend on the user's state and that digital assets are not FDIC-insured. It does not provide a broader rollout timetable in the cited article.
